Music Monday #4 Shawn Cassidy

To Music Monday....

Today I chose Shawn Cassidy. I had a huge crush on him since the Hardy Boys and Nancy Drew were on tv. This first picture, I did had the album. I was around 12-13 years of age. I used to rollerskate in the basement with the music on. He and Leif Garrett. Those disco songs really brings back memories going to the skating rinks or arcades. Me and my friends will play their music all day if we can..LOL
I tell you that I really didn't like disco that much. I am more a country and easy listening kind of gal.

I had this album and I will sing that album/songtitle for hours.. I drove everybody crazy..

He was a hunk

My sister like Parker better..

Parker Stevenson and Shawn Cassidy from the "Hardy Boys and Nancy Drew Misteries."

I wish they would do those reruns. I could watch it in caption. We didn't have captions on tv those days.

Thank for playing along..

Music Monday #3

To Music Monday.. Today I chose Juice Newton. Soon the "QUEEN of HEARTS" song hit the radio, I fell in love with the song. This first photo, I had the 45 album that my sister brought home for me. I didn't knew the name because I didn't pick it up when the DJ announce Juice's name. I I started Listening to Juice Newton ever since. My sister Donna and Pat took me to see her back in "83. She was runner up for Alabama. She did a great show as well as Alabama did.
I had been listening to Juice Newton's music ever since.

Here is a question..
What song did Juice and co-songwriter wrote for "The Carpenters?"
I will give answer later this week.

You may heard of songs such as.."The Sweetest Thing (I've ever known is loving you)"
"Angel of the Morning": Which once sang by Merilee Rush. OF Course the title on album.

You may heard Of "Love's Been a little Bit Hard on me", "In the Heart of the Night",and "Break it to me Gently", Sang by Brenda Lee.
The list will go on..

Thank you for playing along...:)

Films Friday #3 : The Sounds Of Music

Welcome to Film Friday:

This week I chose "The Sound of Music".. This movie musical is usually on at this time of the year. The music were written by Rodgers and Hammerstein. They both wrote a lot of music for several movie/musicals.
I think they play this around the holidays because the song "My Favorite Things" sound like a Christmas song. It is usually played at radio stations around the country at Christmas time.
Therefore; this is my most favorite movie of all time..

Raindrops on roses and whiskers on kittens
Bright copper kettles and warm woolen mittens
Brown paper packages tied up with strings
These are a few of my favorite things
Cream colored ponies and crisp apple streudels
Doorbells and sleigh bells and schnitzel with noodles
Wild geese that fly with the moon on their wings
These are a few of my favorite things
Girls in white dresses with blue satin sashes
Snowflakes that stay on my nose and eyelashes
Silver white winters that melt into springs
These are a few of my favorite things
When the dog bites
When the bee stings
When I'm feeling sad
I simply remember my favorite things
And then I don't feel so bad
[Repeat all verses]
(I love this song the most..)

The Von Trapp Family:

Gretl (Kym Karath), Marta (Debbie Turner), Brigitta (Angela Cartwright),

Kurt (Duane Chase), Louisa (Heather Manzies), Fredrich (Nicholas Hammond),

Leisl (Charmain Carr), Maria (Julie Andrews), and Georg (Christopher Plummer).

Thank you for playing along..
The linky will ends on the 25th. You have plenty of time to play along..

We are Siamese if you please
We are Siamese if you don't please
We are former residents of Siam
There is no finer cat than I am
Do you see that thing swimming round and round
Maybe we can reaching in and make it drown
If we sneaking up upon it carefully
There'll be a head for you, a tail for me
We are Siamese if you please
We are Siamese if you don't please
Now we're looking over our new domicile
If we like we stay for maybe quite awhile(Growl)
(Here, kitty, kitty, kitty, kitty)
Do you hear what i hear? A baby cry
Where we findin' baby there's milk nearby
And if we look in baby buggy
there could be Plenty of milk for you,
and also some for me(Reow)
We are Siamese if you please
We are Siamese if you don't please
Now we're looking over our new domicile
If we like we stay for maybe quite awhile
We are Siamese if you please
We are Siamese if you don't please
We are former residents of Siam
There is no finer cat then I am
There is no finer cat than I am (No I am)
There are no finer cats than we am

Thursday Tv: Happy Days

Thursday Tv: Happy Days

Bill Haley & His Comets Rock Around the Clock Lyrics:

One, two, three o'clock, four o'clock rock,
Five, six, seven o'clock, eight o'clock rock.
Nine, ten, eleven o'clock, twelve o'clock rock,
We're gonna rock around the clock tonight.

Put your glad rags on and join me hon',
We'll have some fun when the clock strikes one.

We're gonna rock around the clock tonight,
We're gonna rock, rock, rock till broad daylight.
We're gonna rock, gonna rock,
Around the clock tonight.

When the clock strikes two, three and four,
If the band slows down we'll yell for more.

We're gonna rock around the clock tonight,
We're gonna rock, rock, rock till broad daylight.
We're gonna rock, gonna rock,
Around the clock tonight.

[Instrumental break featuring guitar solo.]

When the chimes ring five, six, and seven,
We'll be right in seventh heaven.

We're gonna rock around the clock tonight,
We're gonna rock, rock, rock till broad daylight.
We're gonna rock, gonna rock,
Around the clock tonight.
[ Find more Lyrics on http://mp3lyrics.org/aDZ ]

When it's eight, nine, ten, eleven too,
I'll be goin' strong and so will you.

We're gonna rock around the clock tonight,
We're gonna rock, rock, rock till broad daylight.
We're gonna rock, gonna rock,
Around the clock tonight.

[Instrumental break.]

When the clock stikes twelve we'll cool off then,
Start rockin' 'round the clock again.

We're gonna rock around the clock tonight,
We're gonna rock, rock, rock till broad daylight.
We're gonna rock, gonna rock,
Around the clock tonight.

Theme Song Lyrics
Title: "Happy Days"
By: "Norman Gimbel" and "Charles Fox
"

Sunday, Monday, Happy Days,
Tuesday, Wednesday, Happy Days,
Thursday, Friday, Happy Days,
The weekend comes, my cycle hums,
Ready to race to you.

These days are ours...., happy and free. (Oh happy days)
These days are ours...., share them with me. (Those days)

Goodbye gray sky, hello blue,
There's nothin' can hold me when I hold you.
Feels so right, it can't be wrong,
Rockin' and rollin' all week long.

Sunday, Monday, Happy Days,
Tuesday, Wednesday, Happy Days,
Thursday, Friday, Happy Days,
Saturday. What a day. Groovin' all week with you.

These days are ours...., share them with me. (Oh happy days)
These days are ours...., happy and free. (Those days)

These happy days are yours and mine,
These happy days are yours and mine,
Happy days!

Everybody loves the Fonz. Who played by Henry Wrinkler.

Here's a little trivia...
Can you name three shows that were "Happy Days" spin off ?
and what "Happy Days" originally called?

Joanie and Chachi played by Erin Moran and Scott Baio.. (SMOOCHIE Chachi..) LOL

Who played the role of Pinky Tuscadero(Fonzie's GF) on the hit TV show "Happy Days."?
Who is Pinky Tuscadero Sister's name? (Hint she's a singer on the show) ?

May Mr. Cunningham, the world's Dad R.I.P. Tom Bosley 1927-2010

As I grew up, I watched Happy Days every Tuesday nights. I always thought it was a great show especially for young viewers and it was a family show that was based in everyday lives. It was more than a family show. It was one of the funniest. Soon Chachi came on the show, all the girls in the world had a crushed on him and probably me ioo..LOL.When the show had was going off. Mr. Cunningham/ Tom Bosley had a real nice saying at end. He make it sounds like we were his family as well as the rest of the casts and crews.

Here's the finale of Happy Days..

Thank you for playing alone..
